When should you take supplements?
Supplements can be used on a daily basis, but one critical factor to remember is that they should not take the place of a healthy, whole-food diet. It is extremely important that you continue to consume a variety of healthy foods including fruits, vegetables, whole grain, lean meat, dairy, and unsaturated fats.
Many of the foods found in a healthy diet contain ingredients that cannot be found in supplements, like phytochemicals and fiber. Another point I would like to mention is that supplements are not a “magic “answer to your daily health challenges or goals. Supplements must be combined not only with a healthy diet, but also a regular, effective exercise program in order to be successful.
